Vision

To provide leadership in large-scale, work-related accident, injury, illness, and fatality reduction in the U.S. and beyond.

…recognizing much of what is learned in construction can be extended to other sectors and vice-versa, to proactively remove workplace hazards, and to create and maintain safe and healthy environments.

History

The Center for Innovation in Construction Safety and Health Research was formed in 2004 as part of the NIOSH agenda to innovatively improve health and safety in the construction sector.
