What We Do
The Center for Innovation in Construction Safety and Health Research conducts research in the field and in laboratories for prevention of risk guided by a hierarchy of safety and health controls and by integrating multiple technical disciplines.
The Center for Innovation in Construction Safety and Health Research designs, develops, and delivers training and continuing education to decrease the number of injuries, accidents, and fatalities, impacting workers, their families and friends. While training isn't the first line of defense in the hierarchical approach, it is an important preventive and reinforcing tool. The Center's innovative training methods are designed to reach workers of different ages, genders, and ethnicities, paralleling the demographics of the actual workforce.
The Center for Innovation in Construction Safety and Health Research puts into practice innovative methods and design to decrease risk and to improve the safety culture and environment.
